I enjoyed how seamlessly all the artists’ paintings fit into the landscape of the Botanic Gardens.
The foliage appears to be springing from the earth in Delton Demarest’s Gaia’s Children.

Spring time at the Gardens
Took the family to the Gardens and took the sights and smells of the Gardens. Who doesn’t like Spring and the smell of the blooming trees
Downtown Blossoming
I took this picture downtown in Denver on Friday. I love the beauty of the tree and sky against the building. Originally, I was sad the building made it in the picture…but I kind of like it now.
My favorite mural at the exhibit
I went to the exhibit today with my partner Tom today. It was wonderful. The art was amazing. Add that too beautiful flowers and a sunny, warm day and you have something magical.
This picture is from our visit today. It is a panel by Delton Demarest. I recommend everyone check out the exhibit. It is great.
Excitement for the Exhibit
Posted by twhittaker on April 19th, 2008
I work for the company that helped the Denver Botanic Gardens build this photoblog, so I have become more familar with the Urban Nature Exhibit over the past few weeks.
I am exicited that the exhibit is opening this weekend and I am looking forward to visiting, but over the past few weeks have visited most the artists Web sites and become more familiar with graffiti as an art form and the idea of nature/art in an urban setting. It is incredible the beauty, these artists create in often such cold, urban settings. Truly a gift to the surrounding communities.
So far from my on-line research, Mac is my favorite. I cannot believe what he is able to create with spray paint. This is my favorite from his Web site and I cannot wait to see what he bring to the exhibit here in Denver.
Flowers and Escalator
I took this photo recently in the lobby at Macy’s department store in Chicago. It is part of their beautiful Floranova display. Wonderful combination of city and nature.
