Born and raised in Colorado, Sophie spent the majority of her life painting and drawing. She is currently enrolled as a senior at the Metropolitan State College of Denver, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. Her emphasis is oil painting although Sophie also enjoys creating large murals and incorporating aspects of printmaking, mixed media and spray paint into her work.

Sophie’s body of work tends to juxtapose comical characters with social commentary and events. Her influences range from Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Keith Haring, graffiti artists, muralists (i.e., Judy Baca) and street art.
