At a young age, Dread was influenced by his mother to be creative. He was always interested in capturing the human form. Dread studied graphic design, fine arts and computer animation. As a young man, he was influenced by local street artists and muralists. He has a strong knowledge in construction and home improvement. Dread is part owner of a local mural and faux finishing company called Fat Cat Studios. He also works in partnership with Your Name in Graffiti (YNIG.com).
